VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department has made an arrest in the murder of a 39-year-old man.
They say that they were called to the 600 block of E. Jane Street around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old man suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.
The victim, identified as Tovara Flowers, later died from his injuries at a hospital.
During the investigation, the Valdosta City Camera system picked up a suspect running from the area around the time that the shooting occurred.
Within minutes, detectives found the suspect near the intersection of East Moore Street and North Forrest Street and arrested him. The man, identified as Jean Doricien, was arrested and charged with felony murder.
VPD says more charges may be pending in the case. Doricien was transported to the Lowndes County Jail.
They say the incident appears to be an isolated incident and no further suspects are being sought.
