VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Valdosta police are looking for a suspect accused of robbing an Omni Food Mart clerk at gunpoint.
Police responded to the robbery on Sunday, September 29. Officers arrived at the scene, 1509 Northside Drive, around 10:50 p.m. The owner of the convenience store, Vijaylcomase Patel, told police that an African-American man entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. Patel said the man then ran away on foot with several hundred dollars.
The responding officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Investigators say the witnesses described the suspect as wearing dark shorts, white tennis shoes, a gray hoodie, and a baseball cap. No information regarding the suspects physical appearance was released.
Police say no injuries were reported from the incident.
