VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--Police say they have identified the driver who hit a person, and then crashed into a house in Valdosta.
Police say close to nine Tuesday morning they were called to the 900 block of East Brookwood Place after receiving a report of gunfire and a car crash.
They found a silver Honda in the home. Police say 21-year old Dominique Herron was hit by the car and taken to the hospital.
Police say the driver, 20-year-old Jonathan Gilbert, ran away. He was captured shortly thereafter.
Gilbert is charged with two counts aggravated assault, two counts criminal damage to property, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and other charges.
