VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - A Valdosta police captain is taking time off to travel and help law enforcement agencies across the nation.
Captain Kari Williams is joining the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
She will help assess other city, county and state agencies looking for accreditation showing they meet standards of excellence.
Valdosta Mayor John Gayle says this move is just one of many recent changes in the police department.
