VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department said that they arrested three Tuesday morning after police responded to a break-in in progress.
They said that around 3:22 a.m., Valdosta Police responded to a vehicle break-in in progress.
Officers responded to the 5000 block of Branch Point Drive and located a car matching the description of the suspects.
Officer who responded also saw three people inside the car that matched the description given by the person who made the complaint. They said that officer stopped the vehicle and talked with the three suspects who were detained for further investigation.
While investigating, they also saw drugs in plain view.
VPD said that one of the suspects lied to them about his identity. When they did find out who he was, they discovered that he had an active arrest warrant.
Further investigation revealed that all three subjects had stolen property in their possession along with tools for the commission of crime.
The property belonged to various residents throughout the Branch Point subdivision. VPD said that they are investigating the possibility of these offenders being involved in other burglaries and vehicle break-ins in Valdosta.
All three suspects were taken to the Lowndes County Jail.
