Valdosta Police Arrest 4 Teens for Attempted Burglary

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Police in Valdosta said that they have arrested four teens for attempting to break into a local auto business.

The Valdosta Police Department said that they got a call from Imperial Auto Sales on Monday around 2 a.m. about a burglary. When police approached the area to investigate the alarm, they noticed some movement in the business' parking lot.

Upon further inspection, they were able to see that a security camera had also been torn down. They also noticed that there were several people there trying to hide behind parked cars. 

Officers said that they called in back-up to arrest the teens and after their arrest, they found that the business's back door had been damaged.

Police also found that the suspects had multiple tools that were intended to be used for committing a burglary to include screwdrivers, hammers, and gloves.

Kevin Brown, 18, was one of the three that was arrested. He was taken to the Lowndes County Jail and is facing charges of attempt to commit burglary (felony) and possession of tools for the commission of a crime (felony). 

The other three teens were under 18, and have been turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice according to VPD.
