LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WTXL) - Police have arrested a man who they said snatched money out of a store register.
Theodore Reid was arrested for robbery by sudden snatching on Thursday by the Valdosta Police Department.
Police said that the 51-year-old stole money from a store on East Hill Avenue around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Police said that Reid entered the store and picked out an item for purchase.
While at the counter, they said he gave the employee money. But as the clerk was making change, Reid reached over and grabbed money from the register before running away.
Police said that no one was injured in the incident. Reid is currently being held at the Lowndes County Jail .
