VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department is investigating after several armed men knocked on a victim's door and forced their way into his home.
VPD says they were called to the 5100 block of Glory Place on Monday around 9:50 p.m. about a home invasion.
When they arrived they were unable to find the suspects.
The victim at the home told them that the masked suspects had knocked on his door, and when he answered, made their way into his house.
He said that the men, who he was familiar with, hit him in the face with a weapon, collected items from his house and person before running away.
At this point, detectives do have a person of interest in the case and are continuing to follow-up on leads.
