VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--A south Georgia man is laid to rest after police say he was murdered.
Valdosta Police say 24-year old Alfred Pierre Bradley Jr. was shot and killed at the T&D Foodmart and Fashion Sunday morning. Three people were arrested in connection with his death. Bradley's loved ones, including Velma Miles who took care of him growing up, are heartbroken. Miles says Bradley was kind and generous. She'll never forget his smile.
"He cut hair in a barber shop on the south side of town. The children in that neighborhood loved him because he always had a treat or something for them, when they came to get their hair cut or just passed by to tell him hey," said Miles. "He could be a friend to those kids. He could be a friend to people his age. He could be a friend to the people in the community."
Velma Miles says she and his family members need help in covering funeral expenses. You can mail a donation to Francis Lake African Methodist Episcopal Church at P.O. Box 152 Lake Park, Georgia 31636.
