VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)-- Police are charging a Valdosta mother with murder.
On Saturday morning around 8:50, they were called to the Hudson Dockett housing complex on South Fry Street about a two-month-old baby not breathing at an apartment.
The baby died at the scene.
Police say the autopsy showed internal trauma to the infant.
Authorities have ruled the child's death a homicide.
Based on an investigation and physical evidence, the baby's mother, 24-year-old Ariel Kerbo, is being charged with second degree murder, cruelty to children in the second degree, and providing false statement.
