VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - A Valdosta man is indicted for a second time on malice murder and armed robbery charges.

In 2013 Jerry L Gay was originally indicted on one count of malice murder, one count of armed robbery, two counts of possession of a gun during commission of a crime, and one count of possession of a gun by a first offender.

In 2015 Gay plead guilty.

When he received a life sentence plus 20 years, he sought to withdraw his plea but it was denied.

A court of appeals stated Gay should have been allowed to withdraw his plea given the fact that he was not told of the possible life sentence.

For the case go to a grand jury, new indictments were handed down.
