Valdosta Man Hits Police Officer with Scooter

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - A Valdosta man is facing aggravated assault charges after hitting an officer with his motorized scooter Saturday night.

Valdosta Police say that an officer was responding to a domestic dispute on Forrestwood Drive when 25-year-old Brandon Williams tried to leave the scene on his scooter. 

According to the incident report, police told Williams to stop, and that's when he continued driving, intentionally hitting one of the officers. Valdosta Police said he was not injured.

The report says that Williams was charged with aggravated assault of a police officer.
