TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Valdosta man has been arrested, accused of knocking his wife's teeth out when he assaulted her in a restaurant's parking lot.
According to arrest documents, police were called to Texas Roadhouse about a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they found an adult female victim bleeding from her mouth.
When they talked to the victim, she told them John Anderson had punched her in the mouth numerous times and knocked her teeth out.
She said that Anderson, she, and her family were all from Valdosta and were in Tallahassee to purchase a car. After buying the car, everyone went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
While inside, the victim says Anderson had two alcoholic drinks, something he hasn't done in two years because "he can't handle it and becomes violent."
As everyone packed back in the car to leave, a toy airsoft gun that belonged to one of the children in the car went off in the back seat. When the victim got out of the car to discipline the children, Anderson got out of the car and began punching the victim in the face repeatedly.
The victim's mother, who is in present at the time, corroborated the story saying that Anderson assaulted the victim while one of the children was in her arms.
But when they spoke to Anderson, he told a different story, saying that he accidentally hit the victim with his head after he got out the car to discipline the children.
However, police were unable to find any swelling or blood on his head that would corroborate his story.
After the initial investigation, the victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries and Anderson was arrested. He was charged with domestic aggravated battery.
