SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Valdosta man was arrested in Suwannee County after driving away from the scene of an accident and being tracked by a K-9 in the woods.

William Graham, 24, is being charged with failure to yield at an intersection and leaving the scene with property damage, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Graham was driving a vehicle that was traveling south on River Road on Monday as another vehicle was traveling west on CR 250.

As Graham attempted to travel through the intersection of River Road and CR 250, the the driver of the second vehicle took evasive action and swerved to the right, striking a stop sign.

No people were injured in the accident.

Graham then fled the scene and was followed by a witness as he turned onto private property at 209th Road and 104th Place.

A K-9 was requested to track Graham, and Hamilton County Corrections located him in the woods near a trail.

He was booked into the Suwannee County Jail.
