VALDOSTA, GA. (WTXL) - A Valdosta man is arrested after an altercation involving a hammer.
According to Valdosta Police, the incident happened Tuesday night at 1107 Langdale Drive. The victim was returning property to a family member when they began to argue. Police say, Fontaine Hawkins went inside the residence and came back out with a hammer. Fontaine approached the victim and they became involved in a physical altercation. He then threw the hammer at the victim's car causing some damage.
Hawkins was arrested for aggravated assault and criminal damage to private property-vandalism.
No one suffered any injuries during the altercation.
