VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -- The Valdosta-Lowndes Regional Crime Lab could become the first accredited local lab in Georgia to receive such a distinction.
Next week, five accreditors from the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors will be in Valdosta to assess the lab on management, firearms and ballistics analysis, fingerprint identification and many more topics in order to determine if the lab should receive the distinction.
They will be at the lab from Tuesday, Feb. 10 to Friday, Feb. 13 for the inspection.
