VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta Police have arrested a man accused of hitting a cyclist while driving drunk.
The Valdosta Police Department said that the hit-and-run happened Wednesday night in the 1800 block of S. Patterson Street.
Ricky Fulton was driving when he hit Frederick Williams from behind, knocking him into a ditch. Police say Williams was not seriously injured, but was banged up in the process.
Williams was able to give police a description of the truck that hit him, helping the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office to find Fulton and arrest him.
Fulton was charged with driving under the influence, suspended drivers license, and leaving the scene of an accident.
