VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - A weekend crash in Valdosta claims the life of an Albany woman.
On Friday, Crews were called out to GA 376 at Whitewater Road in Lowndes county. According to Georgia State Patrol, 26 year old Cierra Hernandez was preparing to turn left onto Whitewater road; when she turned into the path of a motorcycle driven by 54 year old Cassandra Davis.
Davis was transported to South Georgia Medical Center where she later died. Hernandez and her passenger were not injured. Troopers are still investigating and say charges are pending, as they suspect drugs to be a contributing factor in the crash. Officials are awaiting toxicology reports.
