VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta and Lowndes County humane societies are partnering with an organization called "Target Zero".
Together they'll work to decrease euthanasia rates. The shelter takes in pets from all over South Georgia.
"Target Zero" will work with shelter staff and folks in the community to provide recommendations for animal care.
The organization will start their assessments over the summer.
Public hearings will be scheduled for input.
