ATLANTA (AP) - U.S. Attorney's officials say a 39-year-old northern Florida man has been sentenced to more than 24 years in prison on drug charges.
Authorities say Johnnie Kenon, of Quincy, Fla., pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 11 pounds of cocaine. He was sentenced Thursday to 24 years and six months in prison.
Officials say Kenon arranged drug deals by telephone with a supplier living about 50 miles away in Donalsonville. Authorities say a wiretap had been placed on the other dealer's phone and agents intercepted multiple calls between him and Kenon.
Authorities say they also recovered a gun when they searched Kenon's house.
