VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta police arrest the person, they say, is responsible for a weekend shooting.
According to Valdosta Police Department (VPD) Captain Bobby McGraw, at about 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, officers arrested 36-year old Valdosta resident Earl Horne, III at his work.
He is charged with reckless conduct (misdemeanor) as police say he discharged a firearm at a vehicle in the immediate presence of a person who was standing near a vehicle on Simpson Street.
Horne has also been charged with criminal damage to property - 2nd degree (felony) for causing damage to the vehicle, according to police.
According to Captain McGraw, the weapon has not been recovered at this time and detectives are interviewing Horne. She says it appears the incident stemmed from an earlier domestic dispute, and the person at the residence and Horne knew each other.
Horne will be taken to the Lowndes County Jail.
