UPDATE 3:35 p.m. 10/31/14 (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police release the identity of the person found dead Thursday night on Bicycle Road near Blountstown Street. TPD says he is Terrell L. Smith, 25.
Police say Smith was found near an abandoned vehicle and died from an apparent gunshot wound. They are now treating it as a possible homicide.
Investigators from TPD's Violent Crimes Unit and Forensic Technicians are currently investigating the case, interviewing witnesses and processing evidence related to the case.

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A body was found near an abandoned car, and police are looking for answers.
Tallahassee police say a call came in around 4:30 this afternoon. When they arrived to the scene on Blountstown Street near Bicycle Road on the west side of town, they found an abandoned car.
Sometime during the investigation, they found a body nearby. Police won't say who the person is or how they died. A forensics unit examined the crime scene.
