TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Despite chilly temperatures people still visited downtown Tallahassee to enjoy some jazz music.

Jazz music is featured in the first "Saturday in the Park" 2013 concert series.

The Bill Peterson Trio with Robin Sherman and Adam Hendley headlined the concert in the Ponce de Leon Park. The Downtown Tallahassee Business Association and the Tallahassee Improvement Authority hosted the free concert.

"There's always something going on in Tallahassee in particular downtown and it's just another opportunity to showcase our downtown which is everyone's downtown and to show people that it's a great place to come out and have a great concert and to relax," said Curt Reiley, the president of the Downtown Tallahassee Business Association.

WTXL ABC 27 was a sponsor for Saturday's event.

Meterologist Sean Parker was a emcee.
