UPDATE: Police Name Homicide Suspect in Ricardo Street Death in Valdosta

UPDATE: 9:28pm (WTXL) - Valdosta Police say arrest warrants have been signed for 25-year old Valdosta resident Timothy Jerome Wiggins, Jr. for the homicide of 25-year old Anthony Barber. Police say Wiggins is facing charges of homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

According to Valdosta Police spokesperson Capt. Bobby McGraw, detectives are following up on all leads and asks anyone who knows where Wiggins is to not approach him but call police, as they are considering him armed and dangerous.

Police are not yet releasing a motive for the homicide.

VALDOSTA, Ga (WTXL) - Police say the body of a black male was found in Valdosta on Monday morning. 

The victim has been identified as Anthony Barber, a 25 year-old male, from Valdosta, according to police. 

Police say citizen was looking at a vacant house that was for rent on the 1700 Block of Ricardo Street when they found the body in the backyard and called 911. 

Police are also saying they do have a person of interest in this case.
