UPDATE: 12/25/12 9:54 p.m. - MADISON COUNTY, Fla.-- FHP has released the name of the driver. 55 year old, Drew Chappel Dyess of Greenville, Fla. lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree. Madison County Sheriff's Office, Madison County Emergency Medical Services and the Florida Highway Patrol all responded to the crash.

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (FHP)-- According to Florida Highway Patrol's website, one person is dead after a single vehicle crash on I-10. At approximately 5:36 p.m. Madison County 911 Center dispatched Madison Fire Rescue and Greenville Fire Rescue to a traffic crash on I-10 at the 246 milemarker westbound. A single vehicle crash with entrapment required the use of the Jaws of Life to remove the driver. Madison County Sheriff's Office, Madison County Emergency Medical Services and the Florida Highway Patrol were also at the scene.
