MIDWAY, FL (WTXL) -- A police chase ends in a fatal crash in Midway Thursday afternoon.
According to Midway Police, just before 4 p.m., officers pulled over a car, after getting word that it may be stolen. That car then drove off.
The suspects led officers on a chase from Martin Luther King, Junior Boulevard, near Central Road, when the car crashed into a mailbox and overturned near Vincent Drive.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the passenger 18-year-old Trevor Chambers was pronounced dead at the scene. The drive, 19-year-old Malik Saunders was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers had the road blocked off for hours.
The investigation has been turned over to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers are on scene of a fatal accident near the Leon/Gadsden County line.
The accident was reported just before 4 pm at ML King Blvd just east of Knight Road.
At least one person is dead.
According to FHP, the roadway is completely blocked in that area.
