(WTXL) Ga. - The Lowndes County Sheirff's office has given CNN information about the interviews conducted with a local wrestling team, following the death of Kendrick Johnson.

The interviews come more than 18 months after the sheriff's office closed its investigation into Johnson's death. Johnson was found dead, rolled up in a gym mat at Lowndes county High School back in January 10, 2013.

The sheriff's office ruled that Johnson died while trying to get a shoe from inside the mat but Johnson's family believes it is all a big cover up.

According to student interviews, several of the students said that one student in particular was on a school bus en route to a state tournament the day Johnson disappeared, but others could not confirm this. There were also inconsistencies about when the bus actually left.
