TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--We have an update to a motorcycle accident that sends a man to the hospital in critical condition.

57-year old Dan Bulecza was riding a motorcycle north on Williams Road Saturday, February 2. According to the crash report 70 year old Michael A. Hass, was driving a Ford full-sized van east on Old St. Augustine Road. He said he stopped at the stop sign, looked both ways, then preceded through the intersection but did not see the bike.

The bike caught fire after the crash. Bulecza was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and is in the intensive care unit. The crash is still under investigation.

A blood drive is set for Tuesday to honor Dan Bulecza from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Learning Way on the school's campus. Bulecza is the director of FSU's first responder unit.

Leon County deputies say a motorcycle and a van collided at the intersection of Williams Road and Old St. Augustine Road around 11:20 Saturday morning. Dan Bulecza was riding the motorcycle and is in critical condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
