TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(FDLE)--The Midway Chief of Police is accused of using a young person's urine during a drug test and using City gas cards for personal use.
The Chief, 52-year-old Terron R. Lindsey, was arrested on December 19. He's charged with official misconduct and one count of petit theft.
According to the documents, Lindsey had to pass a urinalysis test in order to become the Chief of Police. According to a report, a juvenile said that Lindsey gave him money and a box of candy to use his urine during the test. The child's mother said that Lindsey also used a City of Midway gas card to put gas in her car.
Midway City Manager reportedly provided a statement saying that, unless the person receives permission, their gas cards are only to be used for city vehicles.
In the report, Lindsey denies that he gave the child candy and money for urine, but says that he did fuel the mother's car. He says that he was in a relationship with her at the time of the purchase.
Lindsey's bond was set at $5,500.
The State Attorney’s Office, 2nd Judicial Circuit will prosecute this case.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FDLE)--Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tallahassee Regional Operations Center arrested Terron R. Lindsey, 52, of Midway, Fla., for one count of official misconduct and one count of petit theft.
Lindsey is the Police Chief of the Midway Police Department. Agents allege Lindsey falsified official documents pertaining to his employment as police chief.
Lindsey was arrested around 4 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 19, 2012 and was booked into the Leon County Jail on a $5,500 bond.
The State Attorney’s Office, 2nd Judicial Circuit will prosecute this case.
MIDWAY, Fla. (FDLE)-- FDLE has confirmed that Midway City Chief of Police, Terron Lindsey has been arrested. Lindsey is being charged with official misconduct and petty theft.
Lindsey is being held at the Leon County Jail.
