UPDATE: Manhunt called off for man after fleeing from Monticello traffic stop

MONTICELLO, Fla. (WTXL) - Jefferson County deputies call off a manhunt for after a traffic stop Tuesday evening. 

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, a K-9 unit was looking for the driver in the Boland community cemetery.

Deputies called the search off because they believe he got a ride from someone else.

The suspect is described as a Black male with white shirt, black colored pants and no shoes. He has multiple warrants in the area.

JCSO says there is no current threat to community. He is not considered armed or dangerous.


A manhunt is underway for a man who fled from a traffic stop in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says that the unidentified man fled from a traffic stop, prompting the Sheriff's Office to call out a K9 unit to find him.

Deputies are currently searching near the Boland Community Cemetery.
