VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--A fire destroys a south Georgia home and the couple is just months away from getting married.
Tanner Maxwell and his fiance Audrey Mckinney weren't home at the time of the fire but they did lose everything including Audrey's wedding dress. A fire broke out at their home on Ivydale Court in Valdosta Friday.
Now Audrey's sister is hosting a wedding dress shower, where people can bring their wedding dresses, Audrey can try them on in hopes of finding the perfect dress. The event is at the Best Western Plus Sunday, January 6 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
You can also donate gift cards to the couple by dropping them off at the hotel.

Rescuers say the fire couldn't have come at a worse time for the victims.
A fire broke out at the home on Ivydale Court in Valdosta Friday.
We're told Tanner Maxwell and his fiance lived there.
Firefighters say they weren't home at the time of the fire, but the couple lost all of their belongings.
The BARC Humane Society says one of their volunteers Chris McClure and some neighbors rescue the couple's dog from the backyard.
"Chris hopped over the fence and and hoisted the dog back over," said Debbie Rumker, an advisor for BARC. "Tanner and his fiance lost everything including her wedding dress."
The Best Western Plus is collecting gift cards so the family can buy what they need to get back on their feet. You can drop them off at the hotel.
Lowndes County firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.
