GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Gadsden County deputy recently injured in a motorcycle crash has now been moved to hospice.

The Gadsden County Sheriff's Department confirms Maximilian Sander is now under the care of Big Bend Hospice.

Deputy Sander was riding his motorcycle on North Meridian Road near County Road 155 back in May when a car pulled out in front of him. Officials say Sander was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

A GoFundMe for Deputy Sander has raised more than $13,000 in two months.
