UPDATE (WTXL) - Florida A & M University now confirming the two victims of a weekend shooting near campus are FAMU students.
The school reports that one of the victims who was killed, Quintin Langford, was a construction engineering technology major and president of the FAMU student chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.
FAMU's interim president Larry Robinson releasing a statement on Sunday, saying, "Quintin was a strong student leader. We extend condolences and prayers to his family, and will keep Landsay (Ellison) and his family in our prayers."

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - One person is dead and another injured after a shooting early Saturday morning near the Florida A&M University campus, according to Tallahassee Police.
The shooting happened in the area of Gamble Street and Perry Street, police said. That intersection runs next to FAMU Village. Police said that it appears the shooting occurred as a large party was letting out in the area and gunfire erupted in the crowd, striking the two victims.
The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Responders arrived at the location and found two victims that had been shot. One of the victims passed away while still on scene, said police. The other victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The Tallahassee Police Department Violent Crimes Unit and the Forensic Unit have assumed the investigation. At this time they are processing evidence and interviewing all known witnesses. FAMU is currently celebrating its homecoming week.
Two other people where shot early this week near the campus as well. Those victims where treated for non-life threatening injuries.
