Barton's caregiver has been arrested and is now being charged with 2 counts of child neglect.
Investigators say they do not believe 32-year-old William Ebron was telling the truth about what happened when Barton was abducted in the stolen vehicle.
Authorities do not know if Barton is alive or dead.
UPDATE: (FDLE)- A Florida AMBER Alert has been issued for Lonzie Barton, a white male, 1 years old, blonde hair, blue eyes, approximately 2 feet, six inches tall, and approximately 20 pounds, last seen in the area of 8000th block of Old Kings Road in Jacksonville, wearing diaper.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville police are searching for a 19-month-old boy who they say was taken during a car theft at an apartment complex.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Lonzie Barton was in a car belonging to his mother's boyfriend around 2:20 a.m. Friday. The vehicle was recovered several blocks away but the child was not inside.
The sheriff's office released details on its official Twitter account. They say the child was wearing only a diaper when he was taken. They also tweeted that they've contacted the child's father in nearby Baker County and he does not have the child.
Sheriff's officials are asking anyone with information about the boy to contact them.
No further details were immediately available.
