University of Florida Names New Law School Dean

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The University of Florida has selected the first woman dean for the Levin College of Law.

Laura Ann Rosenbury was selected Monday to replace Robert Jerry who stepped down in June after 11 years.

The Gainesville Sun (http://bit.ly/1DwowZC ) reports Provost Joe Glover made the announcement following an extensive interview process that included campus visits and appearances before faculty, students and staff.

Rosenbury is a professor at Washington State University School of Law in St. Louis.

Law professor George Dawson will continue as interim dean until Rosenbury begins her job on July 1.

Her starting annual salary is $350,000.
