ORLANDO, Fla. (WTXL) – The trend of hiking prices at Orlando’s area theme parks continues.
Universal Orlando announced recently they are raising the price of parking to $17 for vehicles, up from $15. Parking will also be $22 for preferred and RV/Bus parking. $5 between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Free parking is available for Florida residents, with proof of residency, after 6:00 p.m. and to everyone after 10:00 p.m.
Universal’s parking price hike comes just days after Walt Disney World announced they too were raising their parking fees to $17 for vehicles.
Both parks also announced recently they were raising their theme park admission ticket prices; their second such price hike in a year. This is considered a big year for each park. Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom just opened the newly renovated Fantasyland while Universal Orlando is preparing to open in June of 2014 the expanded Harry Potter area.
