TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Back to school can take on a new meaning for a neurotypical child and children on the spectrum.
Dr. Lynn Adams, PhD, CCC-SLP, joined us on Sunrise to talk about IEPs. That's an Individualized Education Program that's meant to address each child’s unique learning style and include specific educational goals. It is a legally binding document that allows for classroom inclusion. The school must provide everything it promises in the IEP.
Dr. Adams also founded the group FAST, Family Autism Support Team. For more information or to get involved, call (229) 259-2571 or click here.
