FRANKLIN CO. FL, (WTXL)-- A two-year-old is dead after a fatal accident on State Road 384 Sunday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the child was lying in the road when the car struck him. Katelyn Able, the driver of the vehicle, then came to a complete stop on the shoulder.
The two-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and an investigation into the incident is pending. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor.
According to officials, the parents whereabouts and the reasoning for the child being in the street are unclear at this time.
