JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers are investigating after two local women were seriously injured in a head-on crash in Jackson County Sunday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a two car crash on S.R. 286 just north of Home Front Road.
A 49-year-old Quincy woman was driving her 2012 Kia Soul northbound on S.R. 286 around 6:30 p.m. when the crash happened, according to FHP.
Troopers say the driver of the 2004 Scion XB, identified as 20-year-old Brittany Hollis of Marianna, failed to see the 2012 Kia Soul when she made a left turn out a private driveway, causing a head-on crash.
Both drivers were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. Hollis has been cited for making an improper left turn.
