VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -- A two-week sewer main project gets underway today in Valdosta.
The City of Valdosta's Engineering Department is working on the sewer main in Annexed Island 35B.
Officials say the Oak Street southbound lane, from Smithbriar Drive to Thea Lane, will be closed during construction but will be opened at the end of each day.
The work should be finished on July 30, weather permitting.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the area, or take a different route if possible.
