VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Two Valdosta men are each charged with three counts of theft by entering auto after police responded to calls of suspicious activity at the Country Inn and Suites on North St. Augustine Road.
Officers responded to the call around 1:42am after a concerned citizen saw two males looking into cars in the parking lot of the hotel, according to the Valdosta Police Department.
VPD says that the two men were seen leaving in a gold, Toyota Avalon, which was spotted by a VPD officer conducting a traffic stop.
Officers say that they located two vehicles, one at the Country Inn and Suites and one at the Hampton Inn, that had been broken in to. According to VPD, property stolen from the vehicles was found in the Toyota Avalon.
Police say other property inside the Toyota was found to have come from a vehicle at the La Quinta Inn on Clubhouse Drive.
According to VPD, the two men arrested and charged are Harry Green, 21, and Nathaniel Ware, 22, both of Valdosta.
The report says that Green is charged with three counts of theft by entering auto, and Ware faces the same charges as Green as well as obstructing a law enforcement officer for initially giving a false name. Ware also had an active probation violation warrant.
