SUWANNEE COUNTY, FL (WTXL) -- Two people were rushed to the hospital after having to be cut out of their cars Friday night.

According to Suwannee Fire Rescue, firefighters and EMTs responded to a three car crash at around 11 p.m. Friday night on 129 South in Live Oak near Melody Christian Academy.

When they arrived, officials said they had to cut two people out of their cars who were trapped.

Due to fog, helicopters were unable to land to help transport the patients, and were taken instead by ambulance, Suwannee Fire Rescue said.

The patients' identities have not yet been released, but officials said one person was rushed to UF Health Gainesville, the other to SALO. Their conditions are unknown. All others involved refused medical transport.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
