TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Two Leon County teenagers are injured after being hit by a car while walking on the side of a road.

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say one of the teens is in critical condition. The other has minor injuries. It happened near the intersection of Chaires Cross Road and Henry Moss Circle around 10:00 Saturday night.

Troopers say 31-year-old Kristin Strauss was driving a Kia Sportage on Chaires Cross Road, but didn't see the two teenagers walking on the edge of the road. The front right corner of the car hit both teens. The 17-year-old is in critical condition in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Troopers say charges are pending.
