TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two 18-year-olds have been arrested after witnesses reported to police that they were riding around in their car shooting guns in the air.
The Tallahassee Police Department says that they were called to the Circle K at 1848 Capital Circle NE around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Witnesses told police that there were two men in a red Kia Soul shooting a handgun into the air.
Police say the witnesses were able to provide a detailed description of the men. Court documents say the men had come into the Circle K to buy a soda and a Black & Mild.
The two soon walked out of the store but started loitering in the parking lot. When they were informed by employees that they couldn't just sit in the parking lot, they left. Not long after, witnesses saw one of the men fire three or four shots out of the driver window into the area.
Once officers arrived to the area, they quickly spotted the red Kia Soul at the intersection of Capital Circle NE and Centerville Road. The officers followed the vehicle and pulled the car over.
Documents say officers searched the car after detaining the men and found three handguns, one of which was reported stolen during a vehicle burglary on Nabb Loop on March 18.
As a result of the investigation, both men, identified as Jonquaris Richardson and Mon’Tavious Bruce were arrested.
Richardson was charged with carrying a concealed, unlicensed firearm and firing a weapon from a vehicle while Bruce was charged with grand theft of a firearm.
