TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two 15-year-old students have been arrested after making verbal threats to shoot up Nims Middle School and Second Chance at Ghazvini Learning Center.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office says they arrested the two teens Wednesday afternoon for making verbal threats.

They say both students attend Second Chance at Ghazvini Learning Center.

A school resource deputy was notified by a teacher that the teens had been making statements about conducting a school shooting.

One of the suspects asked, "Did you hear about the shooting that is occurring tomorrow?" The teen continued saying the shooting would happen at Second Chance and said, "I might shoot this place up!"

The second suspect then chimed in, saying "I am going to shoot up Nims Middle School tomorrow and then Second Chance ... I ain't kidding!"

Both were taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center without incident.

This is the second incident in Leon County that involved violent school threats.

Earlier Wednesday, deputies arrested a Godby High School student for threatening to shoot up the school on Instagram. Read more about that story here

WTXL is choosing not to identify the suspects due to their age.
