SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Two people suffered serious injuries in a truck versus tractor accident in Suwannee County.
Florida Highway Patrol said the accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 129 and 296th Street at about 1:35 p.m. Monday.
FHP said Brigham Goold, the driver of the tractor stopped to make a left turn as the driver of the pickup truck tried to pass in a marked passing zone.
FHP stated as Goold was making the left turn, he hit the front of the pickup truck, causing it to overturn.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck sustained serious injuries and were taken to University of Florida Shands Hospital.
Goold is being charged with failed to yield to oncoming traffic/vehicle passing on left when making left turn.
