JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Two people suffered serious injuries and five people minor injuries in a two-vehicle Jefferson County accident Wednesday night.
The accident happened on US 90 about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a vehicle driven by Troy Siplin, 26, of Monticello was traveling west on US 90 and turning left onto Salt Road as a vehicle driven by Janie Houck, 78, of Greenville was traveling east on US 90.
Siplin's vehicle traveled southwest across the center line and into the path of Houck's vehicle, troopers said, causing Houck's vehicle to collide with Siplin's.
Siplin faces charges of driving without a license and failing to yield.
Serious injuries were suffered by Houck and one of the three passengers in Siplin's car.
All people involved in the accident were taken to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
