Two men wanted for trying to rob convenience store

THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--Thomas County deputies need your help to find two men who they say robbed a convenience store.

The clerk was shoved and pushed to the ground. Investigators say she's shaken up but fortunately did not require medical attention.

Now the search is on for these two men.

Thomas County investigators say the duo walked into the Kangaroo store on Highway 84 Wednesday morning around 2:45.

The suspects are accused of demanding money from the clerk, then throwing her down on the floor. investigators say they tried to open the cash register with a shiny metal object but they were unsuccessful.

"They kept screaming at her to give them money," said Steve Jones with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office. "One of the men was angry and hit the register. During that he reached over and hit the emergency button. The clerk pushed the button and then the two men ran out of the store."

Investigators say they didn't get away with anything. We're told the suspects were last seen wearing red bandanas over their faces, one wearing a grey shirt and another wearing darker clothing.
