TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Two men are behind bars after a heroin trafficking bust in Taylor County.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Office says that on Tuesday, an ongoing Drug Task Force investigation of heroin trafficking in Taylor County resulted in two arrests.
They say Jacob Roberts and Darald Tate, both from Perry, were charged with trafficking of heroin.
The amount of heroin seized is believed to be among the largest on record for Taylor County.
This investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Perry Police Department and the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Padgett says he is fulfilling the promise he made to drug dealers earlier this year. “It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow but sooner or later your time will be up.”
