JASPER, Fla. (WTXL) - Two men are facing charges after they were found sleeping inside another man's vehicle behind a local store.

Joseph and Garrett Dyal were taken into custody by the Jasper Police Department.

On Sunday, officers were called to the S&S store on Hartley Street and 5th Avenue in response to the two suspects appearing to be under the influence behind the store.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Joseph and Garrett inside of a truck behind the store sleeping.

Both were startled and aggressive when they were awaken, so they were placed in handcuffs for officer safety.

According to officers, while patting down Garrett for weapons, he stated that he does not use synthetic, but that his brother Joseph does. As officers were patting down Joseph, they found a black sock in his coat pocket that contained a glass pipe with white residue.

Officers were then told by the complainant that Garrett and Joseph were not authorized to be in his truck.

The complainant also said that he is working at the vacant building, and his truck was parked out front. He went on to say that the suspects were previously warned on Saturday to not enter his truck.

Based on the evidence, Joseph is being charged with burglary of a unoccupied conveyance and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Garret is being charged with trespassing.

Both were taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
